Courtney is an associate in Reed Smith’s San Francisco office and a member of the Life Sciences Health Industry Group, practicing in the area of health care regulatory law. Her practice focuses on handling health care regulatory, business transactions and compliance issues for health care providers and life science companies. Courtney has assisted clients with a range of regulatory matters, including health care facility and provider licensing and general health care compliance issues.
In addition to developing her practice, Courtney is involved to the firm’s recruitment and retention efforts as well as the firm’s Pro Bono work. She has represented clients referred to the firm by the East Bay Community Law Center as well as minors through the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status process and guardianship petition along side the Legal Services for Children organization.
Courtney is also an active member and law school liaison of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Northern California, which serves as a support system and mentorship for diverse attorneys in the Bay Area.
