Joshua is an experienced IP and media litigator who regularly assists clients in navigating complex disputes. His experience spans from preliminary risk assessments and pre-action correspondence to formal court proceedings, often involving cross-border elements.
He represents a diverse range of clients within the creative industries, including high-profile musicians, artists, and media personalities, music labels, TV and film production companies, and international design studios. Additionally, he acts for global industry leaders in the consumer goods and luxury industries, such as cosmetics, fragrances, and fashion and the electronics and communications industries.
His extensive experience in complex IP litigation has led to his involvement, on behalf of a leading electronic and communications company, in high-profile FRAND and Standard Essential Patents (SEP) litigation in the High Court. Although his practice is primarily litigious, Joshua is a versatile IP lawyer who frequently provides advice on trademark prosecution, multi-national IP portfolio management, contracts, licensing, and a wide range of commercial issues.
Having lived and worked in Paris, Joshua’s practice has a strong international element. He regularly coordinates litigation in foreign jurisdictions for his clients, often collaborating with our offices in Paris, Munich, and Frankfurt. He is fluent in English, French, and German, and holds a French law degree.
Joshua is a regular guest lecturer on Intellectual Property for several postgraduate university courses and occasionally appears in the press and on television to provide commentary on high profile IP disputes. The Legal 500 has described him as “a young associate who is extremely able”.
