Brittany is an associate in the firm’s Global Entertainment and Media Industry Group, based in Century City. She has extensive experience across all stages of the development, financing, production, and distribution of motion pictures and both scripted and unscripted television projects.
Brittany’s practice focuses on providing comprehensive business affairs representation and production legal counsel. She is skilled in negotiating above-the-line and below-the-line personnel agreements, navigating union matters, conducting clearances and fair use analyses, and drafting sales agency, distribution, and collection account management agreements. Her practice also extends to handling complex chain of title, content acquisition, shopping, and collaboration agreements.
Brittany is expanding her practice to serve clients in the technology, advertising, and privacy sectors.
In addition to her professional work, Brittany has contributed to pro bono efforts with Public Counsel’s Homelessness Prevention Project and has handled adoption cases for the Alliance for Children’s Rights.
Before joining Reed Smith, Brittany served as a Manager of Business and Legal Affairs at Netflix, where she oversaw rights acquisition, talent deals, and production legal matters for both live-action and animated scripted television projects.
