ORANGE COUNTY – Global law firm Reed Smith announced today that Christopher Raidy has joined the firm as a partner in its Global Corporate Group. Raidy, who will be based out of Reed Smith’s recently-opened Orange County office, brings to the firm a practice that focuses on representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in complex debt financing transactions. He joins Reed Smith from Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
Tech and data partner Wendell Bartnick returns to Reed Smith

Bartnick, who joins the firm’s global Life Sciences Health Industry Group (LSHI) residing in the firm’s Houston office. Over more than a decade, Bartnick has built a reputation for handling complex privacy compliance, tech-product commercialization, cybersecurity, and security incident responses, with a particular focus in the health care and life sciences space.
Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Treinis Gatz joins Reed Smith’s regulatory and investigations practice
PITTSBURGH - Global law firm Reed Smith announced today that Lara Treinis Gatz, a former federal prosecutor with the Department of Justice (DOJ), has joined the firm as a partner, adding firepower to its Global Regulatory Enforcement practice group. Gatz, who prior to joining Reed Smith served as a federal prosecutor in both the Southern District of Florida and the Eastern District of New York, has considerable litigation experience both directing and managing teams of trial attorneys and investigators in a variety of important matters. She has served as lead attorney in 26 successful federal trials, many of which were complex and lengthy, and handled more than 40 appeals, over half of which required oral argument in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
