PFAS are a broad class of substances that are found in a variety of consumer, commercial, and industrial products, including medical devices, pharmaceutical drugs, and their packaging. In recent years, there have been several high-profile lawsuits surrounding allegations of PFAS being potentially hazardous to human and environmental health. This presentation will cover an overview of the history of PFAS litigation and how it sheds light on the potential impact of future PFAS litigation on medical device and pharmaceutical companies. This presentation will also offer practical pointers on how MedTech companies can mitigate risk associated with potential PFAS litigation.

Each of these programs are presumptively approved for 1.0 CLE credit in California, Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and West Virginia. Applications for CLE credit will be filed in Delaware, Florida, Ohio, and Virginia. Attendees who are licensed in other jurisdictions will receive a uniform certificate of attendance but Reed Smith only provides credit for the states listed. Please allow 4-6 weeks after the program to receive a certificate of attendance.
