LONDON – Three lawyers based in the London office of global law firm Reed Smith have been selected to Brummell magazine’s ‘Ones to Watch in the City’ 2023 listing. This celebrates 30 of the City’s most promising young professionals, who demonstrate outstanding achievements both at work and in their contributions to society outside of work.

Judges consider rising stars in London’s financial services, law and allied fields, selecting 30 leading individuals under the age of 40.

The Reed Smith lawyers included are:

Katie Grace

Grace is a partner in Reed Smith’s Structured Finance Group. She is also a member of On-Chain, the firm’s Crypto and Digital Assets Group. Her practice principally covers debt capital markets, focusing on securitisations and debt restructurings, and exchange-traded products - with an emphasis on cryptocurrencies. Grace is also an active promoter of diversity, inclusion and gender equality. She was appointed a representative to advocate these issues, starting a mentorship scheme to assist junior lawyers in relation to mental health and issues that affect women in the workplace. She also leads a pro-bono team for a credit union to help vulnerable women establish a financial presence after fleeing home following domestic abuse.

Chu Ting Ng

Ting Ng is a counsel in the firm’s Financial Industry Group, focusing on fund finance. She acts for a variety of borrower and lender side clients on the full range of fund finance products, including subscription line facilities, Net Asset Value, hybrid, co-investment and general partner support facilities. She is regarded as a “go to” adviser and has played a key role in establishing Reed Smith as a leading Tier 1-ranked fund finance practice. Committed to Reed Smith’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, Ng is a member of the firm’s Multicultural Network and was shortlisted as a finalist in the 2021 Asian Women of Achievement Awards.

Olivia Grant

Grant is an associate in the Financial Industry Group and works on a broad range of finance transactions. She also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Multicultural Network. She has been instrumental in developing a pilot programme to increase talent retention by sourcing sponsorship, mentoring and coaching opportunities for Reed Smith’s diverse associate pool, and leads several pro-bono partnerships. Grant is also Committee Secretary for NOTICED, which promotes networking opportunities to increase diversity across the legal sector. She has been included in the 2023 Empower Role Model Lists and was also shortlisted for the Burberry British Diversity Awards in 2023.
