Reed Smith’s team, led by M&A partner Milan Thakker, supported DeepHealth in navigating the complexities of the deal, leveraging the firm’s and DeepHealth’s collective expertise and experience in healthcare technology M&A. The team also included principal support from Matthew Bowen, with further key contributions from Harrison Stimson, David Ashmore, Nick Breen, Marjorie Holmes, Tom Baxter, Alexander Pierce, Bethan Harris, Amy Trespass, Josh Jaskiewicz, Vaibhav Adlakha, Van Vu, and Selina Cook.
Commenting on the deal, Thakker said:
“This acquisition marks an important development in DeepHealth’s strategy to revolutionise healthcare through cutting-edge AI-powered imaging solutions. We are proud to have supported RadNet and DeepHealth as they expand their footprint in the UK and Europe, enhancing access to critical imaging technologies that will improve patient care across geographies.”
The CIMAR acquisition follows Reed Smith’s recent work supporting RadNet and DeepHealth on two other notable transactions:
- The acquisition earlier this year of the Singapore- and Australian-based medtech company See Mode Technologies, which advanced DeepHealth’s innovation in AI-powered ultrasound diagnostics. Reed Smith provided support on this transaction with teams across London and Singapore, led by Thakker and Manoj Purush respectively.
- The 2024 acquisition of the London-headquartered medtech company Kheiron Medical Technologies, which expanded DeepHealth’s AI-powered cancer diagnostic and screening capabilities. Another London-based team led by Thakker, with principal assistance from Victoria Bryden and Roxana Burghel, provided the Reed Smith support on this transaction.
These deals underscore Reed Smith’s deep experience in supporting clients at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and M&A, particularly in high-stakes, cross-border deals that drive AI-enabled innovation in the sector.
