Brian’s practice focuses on the financial services sector, including the representation of banking interests and private investment funds, with a particular emphasis on distressed debt. He also represents major constituencies (including secured creditors, creditor committees, debtors, and boards of directors) in workouts, restructurings, strategic alternatives, enforcement actions, and bankruptcies and receiverships. Brian has substantial transactional experience in lending and other finance-related transactions, and substantial court, trial, and appellate experience addressing creditors’ rights and remedies and insolvency-related claims.

Represented private investment fund in over $20 million of bridge financing to agricultural company.
Represented and defended a member of a board of directors and his affiliated company against fraudulent transfer claims in excess of $35 million, obtaining a favorable jury verdict after a seven day trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (Impala Platinum Holdings Limited v. A-1 Specialized Services and Supplies, Inc., 2017 WL 2840352 (E.D. Pa. June 30, 2017).
Represented bank in connection with a deposit account overdraft in excess of $10 million caused by an elaborate corporate check kiting scheme.
