2023 California CLE Series Part 1: We received a government subpoena – Now What

You are invited to our annual CLE series being held from January 18, 2023 to January 25, 2023. This series is hosted by Reed Smith’s California offices and will include educational sessions that will focus on timely topics of interest to in-house counsel and senior executives.

This session will discuss:

  • Types of subpoenas (e.g., grand jury subpoenas), what they might indicate about the company’s status in the investigation, and the company’s response obligations and options;
  • Notifying the insurer and seeking insurance coverage; and
  • Conducting the internal investigation and attorney-client privilege issues.

This is Part 1 of a six-part series. This program is presumptively approved for 1.0 CLE credit in California, Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia. Applications for CLE credit will be filed in Delaware, Florida, Ohio, and Virginia. Attendees who are licensed in other jurisdictions will receive a uniform certificate of attendance but Reed Smith only provides credit for the states listed. Please allow 4-6 weeks after the program to receive a certificate of attendance.
