Sessions will dive into the practical side of False Claims Act investigations and litigation, with deeply experienced litigators representing a variety of viewpoints —defense, relator, government, and more—sharing their guidance in strategic areas of FCA practice. Day One will walk through some of the legal areas that the U.S. Department of Justice has identified as priorities for enforcement. Day Two will highlight nitty-gritty questions facing any FCA practitioner. More than 400 attendees are expected, marking this as a national program that is a high value for those interested in False Claims Act litigation.
Reed Smith regulatory & investigations partner Kate Seikaly serves as Chair of the FBA’s Qui Tam Section, which focuses on providing education, training, and networking opportunities for practitioners involved in the False Claims Act (FCA) and other whistleblower statutes. Kate will deliver opening and closing remarks on both days of the conference, sharing insights from her extensive experience representing clients in FCA matters.
