Three attorneys located at Reed Smith offices in Richmond, Va., have gained recognition in Super Lawyers 2024 rankings. One of the lawyers was listed on the publisher’s Super Lawyer list and two were featured on the publisher’s Rising Stars list: These lawyers are noted for their legal successes in the securities/corporate finance and business litigation fields.

On the Super Lawyer list was:

  • Brian Farmer for Securities and Corporate Finance.

Brian Farmer is a partner in the Global Corporate Group who specializes in investment management, serving institutional investors and managers. He advises universities, hospitals, pension plans and family offices on private and alternative investments. Farmer represents hedge and real estate fund managers and high net-worth wealth managers.

Two additional lawyers were included on the publisher’s Rising Stars list:

  • Alan Bart for Business Litigation
  • Douglas Pittman for Civil Litigation: Defense

Alan Bart is an associate in the firm’s commercial disputes practice who handles complex cases at trial and appeal levels, in federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, and in mediation/arbitration proceedings.

Douglas Pittman, an associate also in the firm's commercial disputes practice, handles financial services and commercial disputes in federal and state courts throughout Virginia.
