Accounting services
The accounting services team is responsible for all the accounting functions of the firm across the UK, European, and Middle Eastern offices. Job roles are specialised in the areas of tax, financial and management accounting, billing, credit control, banking/legal cashiering, and payroll.
Business development
In business development, we have individuals who work in specific individual practice areas as well as those in more generalist roles. We also have a marketing and communications team covering areas such as general marketing, public relations, digital marketing, and branding.
Facilities
The facilities department is responsible for providing the facilities and services required by all of our lawyers and professional staff. There is a wide variety of roles across the team, ranging from health and safety to document services.
Human resources
Within the HR department at Reed Smith, we have individuals in both generalist and specialist roles, including learning and development, employee benefits, HR operations, and recruitment.
Information technology
The IT team includes technical experts who provide and maintain the firm’s global IT systems. Support includes a 24/7 helpdesk and the local teams provide desk-side support to all lawyers and professional staff. Training is provided to all new joiners and the department is responsible for procurement of all IT software and hardware for the firm.
Learning and development
Careers is Reed Smith’s competency-based career development programme. Its purpose is to provide members of the firm with the transparency, development opportunities, and support they need to achieve career satisfaction and success at Reed Smith.
Library and information services
The team works closely with all the firm’s practice groups and other support teams. It ensures the provision of current legal and business information to the lawyers and keeps them up to date with client, industry, and geographic developments. Roles within the library include research and systems.
