Reed Smith advises CBPE Capital on realisation of investment in Centralis

LONDON – Global law firm Reed Smith is advising London-based private equity group CBPE Capital on the sale of its interest in Centralis, a leading international alternative asset and corporate services provider, to US private equity firm HGGC. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals in multiple jurisdictions and is expected to complete later in 2025.

Reed Smith advised CBPE Capital on its investment into Centralis in 2020.

The cross-border Reed Smith team was led by Philip Taylor, a partner in the Global Corporate Group, alongside London partners Stephen Mooney, Sam Webster, Ravi Pattani, associates James Hatchard, Heather Stewart and trainee James Galliver. Tax partner Caspar Fox also worked on the deal with tax associates Tom Baxter and Emily Clarke. Banking partner Nick Williams and banking associate Helen Penwill advised on finance matters.
