Reed Smith advises Meridian Cooperative on merger with NISC

ATLANTA – Global law firm Reed Smith recently represented Meridian Cooperative, which develops billing, accounting, engineering, and operations software, in its merger with National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC), an information technology organization that develops, implements, and supports software and hardware solutions, including financials, service, operations, and marketing solutions.

The merger unites Meridian and NISC into a single, member-led cooperative that will operate under the NISC name, delivering faster, more advanced technology solutions to equip its members to navigate evolving industry challenges. The combined membership includes communications providers, electric cooperatives, public utility districts, municipalities, and public power entities.

The Reed Smith deal team was led by Nick Rueter, Matt San Roman, and James Alexander.
