Commenting on the deal, Reed Smith partner Milan Thakker said:
“It has been a privilege to support RadNet and DeepHealth on such a significant expansion of their AI enabled platform. We look forward to seeing the impressive team at Gleamer continue to flourish under the DeepHealth umbrella and accelerate the platform’s growth. It is very satisfying to play a part in the creation of a partnership that will undoubtedly drive both efficiencies and improvements in patient care and access across the globe.”
David Katz, Chief Legal Officer of RadNet, added:
“Reed Smith has been an integral part of our growth initiatives in Europe and abroad, having assisted us on several acquisitions in various countries. Lead partner Milan Thakker and Reed Smith’s local Paris team, led by partner Marc Fredj, provided incredible support, guidance, and strategic advice for the largest cross-border transaction in RadNet’s history.”
Founded in Paris, Gleamer is home to a fast-growing, cloud-first radiology AI platform with more than 130 professionals and over 700 customer contracts across 44 countries. Its portfolio of FDA-cleared and CE-marked AI and workflow solutions is designed to enhance quality of care while reducing radiologist workload, with a SaaS-based annual recurring revenue model that has demonstrated strong growth.
The integration of Gleamer’s solutions into DeepHealth is expected to broaden RadNet’s global commercial reach while strengthening its research and development capabilities. The transaction is also anticipated to drive operational efficiencies and improve patient care delivery within RadNet’s own network of outpatient radiology clinics across the United States.
Reed Smith’s team was led by M&A partners Milan Thakker (London) and Marc Fredj (Paris), with principal support from Antea Bonito and key contributions from lawyers across the firm’s London, Paris and U.S. offices, including Harrison Stimson, Natasha Tardif, Séverine Martel, Lisa Chiarini, Benoît Bernard, Jennifer Riso, Emma Weeden, Joshua Schuermann, Peter Loy, Judith Reboul, Camille Martin Saint-Léon, Raphaël Balji and Camille Diz.
The transaction highlights Reed Smith’s strength advising health care and technology clients on complex cross-border transactions involving AI-driven innovation.
