Reed Smith appoints Jimmy Theodorou as Managing Partner for Europe and the Middle East

LONDON – Global law firm Reed Smith today announced that Jimmy Theodorou has been appointed Managing Partner for Europe and the Middle East (EME), succeeding Gregor Pryor. Theodorou will join the firm's Senior Management Team and assume the role effective October 1, 2026.

Theodorou, a senior partner in the firm's London office and current chair of its Global Real Estate Group, brings significant firm leadership experience and a deep understanding of Reed Smith's business, people, and strategic priorities. He is well-connected across the firm's offices and practices and has a strong vision for the growth and development of Reed Smith's business in Europe and the Middle East.

Theodorou has extensive experience advising private equity sponsors, institutional investors, and strategic investors on complex, high-value transactions across the real estate sector.

"Europe and the Middle East are strategically important markets for Reed Smith and our clients, and we see significant opportunities across the region," said Casey Ryan, Reed Smith's Global Managing Partner. "London is our largest office globally and a critical hub for our international business, with significant strengths across Entertainment and Media, Corporate, Litigation, Real Estate, and Finance. Our presence across Europe and the Middle East is integral to our ability to serve clients across borders and in the markets that matter most to them.”

"Jimmy is an outstanding leader with deep knowledge of our clients, our people, and our business. His leadership of our Global Real Estate Group and previous service on our Executive Committee position him extremely well to lead EME as we invest in and grow our business across the region."

"It is a privilege to take on this role and lead our talented teams across Europe and the Middle East," said Theodorou. "We have a strong platform, deep client relationships, and real momentum across the region.

"My focus will be on building on that foundation, bringing together our capabilities across practices and markets, and identifying new opportunities to support our clients and grow our business. I look forward to working with colleagues across EME and the wider firm to build on what we have achieved and strengthen our position in the region."

Theodorou succeeds Gregor Pryor. Pryor, who formerly led the firm's Global Entertainment and Media Industry Group, served as Managing Partner for EME since 2023. During his tenure, Pryor helped advance Reed Smith's strategy and growth across Europe and the Middle East, including the opening of the firm's Riyadh office and the addition of talented laterals across the region. Pryor will continue to grow his leading practice in the entertainment sector and remain a leader within the firm.

"I want to thank Gregor for his leadership of the region and the significant contributions he has made to our firm, our clients, and our people," Ryan said. "We have benefited enormously from his leadership; I look forward to continuing to work closely with him."
