Alexander has experience representing employers of all sizes and in various industries in both state and federal courts as well as before government agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, and the New Jersey Department of Labor. Alexander has a broad scope of employment law experience and has defended employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and wage and hour violations. Obtained dismissal with prejudice of defamation and tortious interference claims on behalf of a New Jersey hospital manager where the plaintiff declined to oppose summary judgment motion and instead voluntarily dismissed his lawsuit
Obtained summary judgment and dismissal of a plaintiff’s N.Y. State Human Rights Law claim and Age Discrimination in Employment Act claim in the District Court for the Northern District of New York (affirmed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit), on behalf of a large jewelry retailer
Obtained summary judgment and dismissal of a plaintiff’s age discrimination and failure to promote claims in violation of the N.J. Law Against Discrimination and Age Discrimination in Employment Act on behalf of an oil processing facility
