United States Steel Corporation v. Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s, London, et al., No. GD 12-000409 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, PA (represented U. S. Steel in seeking coverage under policies issued by the London Market and domestic insurers for long-tail environmental liabilities resulting from operations at a manufacturing facility; negotiated confidential settlement agreements with multiple insurers to resolve dispute).
Mine Safety Appliances Company v. North River Insurance Co., No. G.D. 10-007432 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (obtained jury verdict of $10.9 million in compensatory damages and non-jury verdict of $46.9 million in bad faith damages in action seeking coverage for alleged product defects/toxic tort claims and addressing issues including trigger of coverage, exhaustion, duty to defend, and insurer bad-faith.
American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. v. Steadfast Insurance Company, et al., No. G.D. 08-6931 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (negotiated coverage for alleged intellectual property infringement claim)
