Advised the operator of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah in connection with the financing of the airport’s operations and maintenance by Saudi Arabian banks.

Advised a reputable Saudi Arabian group company in connection with the KAIA Development Project Phase I in Jeddah, including contracts for the terminal complex, the control tower and supporting facilities.

Advised a major Saudi Arabian construction company, as the primary subcontractor, in connection with the approximately US$200 million in financing for the construction of the PP9 power plant.

Advised the operator of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah in connection with the financing of the airport’s operations and maintenance by Saudi Arabian banks.

Provided pivotal expert opinion, from a Shari’ah law perspective, for a high-profile respondent to a contentious debt-recovery claim of US$500 million in a highly complex, multi-jurisdictional cross-border dispute, which was heard in the London Court of International Arbitration.

Represented a client in a purely Shari’ah law case concerning a claim of approximately SAR 1 million relating to non-payment for work undertaken.

Represented a leading insurance company in a case involving a claim of more than SAR 1 million for salvaged cars sold to the defendant, who delayed payment due to an alleged breach of the respective agreement by the insurance company.

Advised a leading foreign petroleum company in Saudi Arabia, providing legal assistance and presentations before the Higher and Primary Commissions for Settlement of Labor Disputes in relation to several labour disputes.

Advised a well-known cooperative insurance company in Saudi Arabia, providing legal assistance and presentations before the Commission for Settlement of Insurance Disputes in relation to claims brought against it.

Represented a client in litigation concerning a dispute over the validity of an agent’s authority to sell a property to the client on behalf of the property’s owner, who later argued that the authority was not valid for the sale in dispute and therefore contested the transfer of ownership to the client. The value of the claim was more than SAR 1 million.

Advised a Saudi regulatory authority on drafting a governance framework and procedural rules for the structuring of an executive ombudsman programme.

Advised a PIF subsidiary on maritime law issues, particularly through a comparative analysis with international law and standards.
