Ian has more than 30 years of experience advising on company law (both public and private), banking, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. He is particularly experienced in the area of trans-national corporate and other complex financial transactions - including acquisition finance.

Represented numerous buyers and sellers of European businesses (assets and share transactions; public and private company transactions)
Advised on regulatory capital transactions for financial institutions
Since September 2008, Ian has been leading the firm's UK team advising a major financial institution in connection with a substantial programme of collateralised debt obligations that has been impacted by the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy
