Jim has over 25 years’ experience representing investors, developers, and owners in the acquisition, development, construction, financing, and leasing of all types of commercial real estate.

Experience

Representative matters

Assisted a senior housing REIT in the acquisition and financing, through a RIDEA structure, of over 100 senior living facilities (i.e., assisted living, independent living and memory care) with a value in excess of $2.2 billion over the past several years.
Assisted an investment management firm in the acquisition and development of medical outpatient buildings, ambulatory surgery centers and specialty hospitals with a value in excess of $1 billion over the past several years.
Representing a multifamily and student housing developer in connection with the acquisition, financing, development and construction of projects in various states through programmatic joint ventures with institutional equity providers. Recent transactions include the development of a mixed-use project including multifamily and life science buildings on a campus in Massachusetts, the development of an urban transit-oriented, mixed-use project in Arizona with a value of $450 million, and the acquisition of a portfolio of three communities in Arizona and Texas for $198 million.
