Joseph C. Vila

In his insurance recovery practice, Joseph counsels individual and corporate policyholders on a wide variety of coverage disputes, including matters that involve first-party property damage, third-party liability, and insurance broker malpractice. Joseph routinely represents individual and corporate policyholders in state and federal courts across the country, and has worked on reinsurance arbitrations, both domestic and foreign, including confidential proceedings.

Joseph has participated in arbitration hearings and jury trials, and has conducted successful arguments before both state and federal courts.

In addition to litigation matters, Joseph assists clients in their review of existing and proposed insurance programs, including their review and analysis of insurance policy forms. Joseph also advises clients with respect to insurance implications of corporate transactions, such as acquisitions and mergers.
