Strategic litigator defending complex consumer class actions and advocating for clients in business disputes in federal and state courts nationwide
Rob is an experienced litigator who focuses on defending complex class actions in federal and state courts across the United States. He represents retailers, financial services institutions, and other business entities in high-stakes consumer class actions, individual litigation matters, and appeals, bringing a strategic, results-oriented approach to each engagement.
Rob regularly handles disputes involving state consumer protection statutes, breaches of warranty, and violations of federal laws such as the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, as well as various common law causes of action. His experience spans a broad range of industries and subject matters, from consumer products and food and beverage advertising to mortgage loan servicing, automobile financing, and large-scale construction projects.
Beyond consumer class actions, Rob represents corporate and individual clients in commercial litigation, arbitration, and appellate matters, including cases involving contract, tort, product liability, intellectual property, and trade secret claims. He has participated in jury and bench trials in state and federal courts and has represented clients in settlement negotiations, mediations, and both domestic and international arbitration proceedings. Rob also advises consumer financial services entities and other businesses on complex regulatory and compliance issues, including responding to inquiries and enforcement actions from state attorneys general, federal banking regulatory agencies, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
A recognized thought leader, Rob speaks and writes extensively on class action issues, with a particular focus on class certification standards, evidentiary requirements, arbitration, and emerging trends in class action defense.
