Before joining Reed Smith, Nevfel worked as a trade associate at a leading law firm in Brussels, where he advised clients in administrative proceedings across multiple jurisdictions and took part in several cases before the General Court of the European Union. He also served in the European Commission’s Legal Service, focusing on trade defence and State aid matters.

A French–Turkish lawyer registered with the Brussels Bar, Nevfel holds a master’s degree in European law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and an LL.M. from the College of Europe. He is fluent in French, English, and Turkish.
