Ala advises clients in the media and technology sectors on complex issues at the intersection of data protection, artificial intelligence, consumer law, and digital regulation. She works with global organisations to navigate emerging digital frameworks, manage regulatory risks, and achieve compliance in an evolving legal landscape.
Her work spans privacy risk management, data subject rights, and breach response, as well as coordinating multi-jurisdictional compliance projects across key regimes, including the GDPR, EU Accessibility Act, EU AI Act, Online Safety Act, and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (DMCC).
She regularly advises on consumer protection and accessibility, helping clients ensure their products and services are compliant, inclusive, and aligned with market and legal expectations. Ala has also designed and implemented assessment frameworks for evaluating products and systems under emerging legislation such as the EU AI Act and the DMCC. Her experience includes product counselling and reviewing consumer flows and user interfaces for regulatory compliance.
She also advises on the drafting and negotiation of technology contracts, SaaS agreements, and data processing terms, and has supported IP and privacy due diligence in corporate transactions.
