Tom is a senior associate in the Entertainment & Media Industry Group in London. He is also a member of the firm’s Retail & Consumer Goods group.
Tom advises clients on a wide range of commercial, consumer, digital and data protection law issues, always taking a pragmatic approach. He works with a number of household names and digital brands in the media and technology spheres and has undertaken secondments to several of our FTSE 100 clients, including consumer goods companies. Tom has particular experience in providing leading brands on privacy, adtech, consumer law and digital regulation compliance issues in relation to their apps, websites and internal operations.
Day to day, Tom spends his time drafting commercial agreements and consumer-facing documents such as terms and conditions and services agreements, delivering training on topics such as GDPR, privacy and consumer law, and providing advice on regulatory issues such as cookies.
Utilising his in-house experience, Tom’s advisory work is always commercially-focused and mindful of the competing interests of internal stakeholders.
On the pro bono side, Tom provides commercial and data protection advice to a number of human rights charities and start-ups.
