Ali is a partner in the Global Commercial Disputes Group in the firm’s London office.
Ali is an experienced litigator and investigations lawyer. His practice focuses on regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings, professional negligence claims, and general commercial litigation and arbitration (including disputes involving states and state-owned entities).
Ali has been involved in cases relating to the energy, construction, and telecoms sectors. He also has extensive experience advising on both internal and regulator-initiated investigations, of both a domestic and cross-border nature, and has acted for clients in connection with a variety of investigations across different jurisdictions, including those involving HMRC, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Department of Justice (DOJ). Ali is part of the firm’s Global Regulatory Enforcement Group (GRE).
Ali’s recent experience includes work on complex shareholder disputes, FCPA-related investigations, and the representation of a state client in an investment treaty claim.
Ali has been ranked in both Chambers and The Legal 500 for his work in commercial and corporate litigation.
