This interactive conference will bring together practitioners from across the UK and further afield including arbitrators, private practice lawyers, funders, expert witnesses, senior general counsel and more, to debate and analyze the latest major developments in investment treaty arbitration.

The Reed Smith London office will play host for the day-long conference, which includes a panel on “Ukraine, Russia, and issues of territory,” the GAR Live Debate “GAR Live: What would you do?,” and a panel on “Sunset clauses and intra-EU BITs” in which international arbitration partner Clément Fouchard will present.

His panel session will explore questions such as: what is the latest update on intra-EU BITs and the ECT? How do sunset clauses operate? Can contracting states nullify acquired rights under a sunset clause? And are there any possible solutions?
