San Francisco-based Reed Smith partner William R. Overend was selected by the Daily Journal for its 2016 list of the “Top IP Lawyers” in California. Bill, who is a member of the firm’s global Intellectual Property, Information & Innovation group, was called out for successfully defending Safeway Inc. against patent infringement claims regarding the grocery giant’s “Just for U” personalized coupon plan.
