Bill’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark and copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and unfair competition cases. Bill has substantial experience representing technology-based clients in other complex commercial litigation as well, including software license disputes, fraud, false advertising, and business-related torts. Bill has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, law and motion, claim construction and trial.

Pro Bono Activities

Bill has been active in pro bono activities, including obtaining political asylum for two Nigerian refugees and their families. He also has been honored for his work for a nonprofit organization serving the senior citizen population of the Oakland area.
