Reed Smith partners José Astigarraga and Francisco Rivero are among “Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers,” in 2021 rankings from news and analysis publisher Latinvex.

Miami-based Astigarraga and Houston-based Rivero also made Latinvex’s list of the top 20 lawyers for arbitration and litigation in Latin America.

In Latinvex testimonials, Astigarraga is praised for his “global perspective” and ability “to resolve even the most complex cases.”

Rivero is global co-chair of the firm’s Latin America Business Team and former co-practice leader of its International Arbitration Group. Latinvex mentions his arbitration and corporate work in the enforcement of a multimillion-dollar arbitral award under the Panama Convention.
