Reed Smith was recognized in the Firm Leadership category, as well six times across three practice group categories:
- Corporate/Commercial/Finance: awarded to the firm’s Global Corporate Group broadly and the Global Corporate Group’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice and the firm’s Insurance Recovery Group
- Regulatory: awarded to the firm’s Global Regulatory Enforcement – International Trade and National Security practice
- Litigation: awarded to the firm’s Global Regulatory Enforcement – Global Investigations and Labor and Employment practices
Reed Smith is among a group of 14 firms that met or exceeded the criteria for the Inclusion Champion Awards at the firm leadership and/or practice group levels, and is the only firm to have been recognized in more than one practice group category.
To be recognized as an Inclusion Blueprint Champion, firms had to achieve a score of at least 70 out of 100 across four key indicators: (1) diversity representation based on average or above-average thresholds, (2) year-over-year diversity representation progress, (3) diversity representation tracking, and (4) meaning-ful inclusion practices and activities.
For the first time this year, the Inclusion Blueprint Champion firms also had to meet a diversity representation threshold or show year-over-year progress for each of the four underrepresented populations assessed by the Inclusion Blueprint, including women lawyers, underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities.
