Reed Smith Ranked Gold Standard Certified by WILEF
The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) has again ranked Reed Smith “Gold Standard Certified” in both the US and the UK for 2020, recognizing our longstanding commitment to women’s career advancement, diversity and inclusion. Reed Smith is the only firm to have met WILEF’s criteria each year since the organization began its certification process for US law firms in 2011 and UK firms since 2019.
Reed Smith Achieves Mansfield 'Certification Plus’
We are honored to be named a Mansfield Certified Plus law firm for the third consecutive year since its inception. The Mansfield Rule certification measures whether law firms have affirmatively considered women, diverse attorneys, LGBT+ attorneys, and attorneys with disabilities – at least 30 percent of the candidate pool – for recruitment, governance roles, equity partner promotions, and inclusion in formal pitches to clients.
Reed Smith Earns Recognition from Yale Law Women
Reed Smith is proud to be recognized by Yale Law Women in their 2021 Top Firms for Gender Equity and Family Friendliness Report in the categories of “hiring practices,” “LGBTQ+ representation,” and “racial justice contributions.” Each year Yale Law Women survey Vault 100 law firms and Yale alumni working at those firms, to collect data on hiring practices, diversity in leadership, mentorship, flextime policies, LGBTQ+ representation, promotion practices, and support for new parents. This year, the survey also collected data on racial justice contributions and firms’ COVID-19 responses.
Reed Smith Named a ‘Best Law Firm for Women’ by Working Mother Magazine
For the 10th consecutive year, Reed Smith has been named one of the “Best Law Firms for Women” by Working Mother magazine in recognition of the firm’s commitment to retain and promote its women lawyers. In 2020, Working Mother inducted Reed Smith into its Hall of Fame in recognition of the firm’s decade of effort dedicated to advancing women lawyers.
