Glenn Mahone, partner for the firm’s Pittsburgh office, talks about his service in the military and how the Reed Smith Business Inclusion Groups(BIGs) program puts VETS at the front and center for appropriate consideration.
As a partner in Pittsburgh, Glenn describes that when he started at the firm in 1973, there was no such thing as veteran preference. However, the Pittsburgh Managing Partner at the time was a Korean War veteran and thus hired him. Anything Glenn can do to give veterans proper consideration, not only for themselves but for their families, he is inclined and compelled to do. The Reed Smith BIGs program brings to the forefront consideration of VETS and the special needs that they may have.
