Kathryn is an associate in the Insurance Recovery Group who focuses mainly on litigation matters. Kathryn has experience in representing clients in a variety of coverage disputes, including commercial general liability, directors and officers, and property.
Her practice has included representing policyholders in a wide range of coverage disputes including environmental, property, COVID-19, cyber loss, and product liability. Kathryn has experience representing policyholders from inception of a claim made to a carrier through all stages of litigation.
Kathryn also works with Reed Smith’s Appellate Group. She has represented clients in a range of commercial disputes across industries in the California Courts of Appeal and California Supreme Court, as well as federal Circuit Courts.
Kathryn has drafted publications on insurance coverage issues, including articles for Law360 and Thomas Reuters. Kathryn regularly performs pro bono work for indigent clients and has represented such clients in both the California Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit.
While in Law School, Kathryn gained experience as a Reed Smith Summer Associate and worked as a Research Assistant for Professors Peter T. Wendel and Christine Chambers Goodman. Kathryn was also a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew in the U.S. District Court Central District of California.
