Shelby’s practice focuses on handling complex commercial real estate transactions (including development, acquisitions, dispositions, sale-leasebacks, and financings of a wide range of asset types) and renewable energy transactions throughout the United States.
She assists clients with every stage of the deal cycle, from term sheet execution to closing, as well as with post-closing and asset management matters. She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating key substantive documents and handling complicated title, survey, and zoning issues. Shelby also advises clients on land use matters, with an emphasis on local and state permitting in California (including compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and the California Subdivision Map Act).
