Zhouya is an associate based in our Shanghai office. Before joining the firm, she worked at an international shipping law firm for more than six years, where she was trained and qualified as an English solicitor.
Her practice focuses on shipping, shipbuilding, commodities, and general commercial disputes. She has extensive experience in a wide range of arbitral regimes ‒ such as HKIAC, LMAA, SCMA, and ICC ‒ and in ad hoc arbitration, and she also has experience in Hong Kong High Court litigation. Zhouya has served clients including shipowners, shipyards, charterers, P&I clubs, banks, and high-net-worth individuals.
Zhouya’s recent cases include London arbitrations involving crew infecting with COVID-19, seaworthiness of vessels, underperformance claims, bunker disputes, and shipbuilding disputes, as well as a HKIAC arbitration involving a significant off-shore investment dispute.
