Philip is an associate in the firm’s Global Corporate Group with an emphasis on Entertainment and Media, mergers and acquisitions, finance and technology transactions. He received his B.A. from UCLA, summa cum laude and his J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law.
While in law school, Philip interned in the business and legal affairs departments of Marvel Studios and Fox Entertainment.
His experience and knowledge in the film and television industry allows him to regularly work with studios and production companies on a host of production legal, distribution and film financing matters. Philip has negotiated and drafted high-level talent and department head agreements for critically acclaimed films.
Also notable is Philip’s experience and relationships with the world’s leading video game publishers. He has advised publishers on e-sports, licensing and complex IP agreements.
Additionally, Philip is a member of Reed Smith’s Retail & Consumer Goods group, with a key focus on counseling clients in the beauty, fashion and luxury goods sector on data privacy, advertising and regulatory matters.
