Her expertise covers international commercial arbitration, mediation, and litigation, and she has a strong track record in handling complex, high-value, cross-border disputes across industries including energy and natural resources, life sciences, and transportation.
Based in Singapore since 2013, Joyce has significant experience dealing with disputes involving countries in the Asia Pacific region, particularly India. She is well versed in the rules of the major global arbitral institutions, including SIAC, ICC, LCIA, and GAFTA. Additionally, Joyce has experience managing complex court proceedings in various jurisdictions including London, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia.
Joyce is a recognized thought leader in the field of international arbitration. She co-authored the Practical Law practice note on arbitration in Singapore and she regularly contributes Practical Law updates in respect of arbitration-related developments in Singapore.
Aside from her fee-earning practice, Joyce is committed to pro bono and co-leads Reed Smith’s pro bono efforts in the Singapore office. Her dedication earned her an honorable mention in Reed Smith’s Sean Halpin Award in 2021.
