Kelly’s work focuses primarily on bespoke financing structures including debt restructurings, securitizations and acquisitions of NPL portfolios. Her recent experience includes the debt restructuring of a major Dutch corporation, applying her knowledge of securitization techniques to advise an issuer in relation to an on-balance sheet cross-border receivables financing , assisting with the development of an innovative financing solution for the continued production of a key component in a malaria vaccine, and advising a consortium comprising a PE fund and bank special situations team on all matters relating to the acquisition of a ca. €1.4 billion shipping NPL portfolio from a German “bad” bank. She acts for a range of market participants including issuers, trustees, agents, account banks and investors. Kelly also has spent a number of years working in-house in financial institutions as senior counsel and acting general counsel and has a solid understanding of the legal, regulatory and market issues applicable to strategic financing projects and structures. She is a 2022 winner of the Lynne Freeman Rising Star Award and is a nominee for Women & Diversity in Law Returner of the Year 2023.
