Hannah is an associate in Reed Smith’s global Entertainment and Media Industry Group and has a broad focus on digital media, music, film and television and content distribution.
Since qualification, her practice has covered a variety of areas across the entertainment and media space. These have included:
- negotiating and project-managing a number of high-profile, multi-territory, international music licensing projects
- undertaking due diligence on intellectual property-related issues for several major corporate transactions, identifying risks and providing practical and commercial solutions to the same
- providing general commercial advice for a number of the firm’s digital and technology services clients, from start-ups to multi-national conglomerates.
- acting for financiers on the financing and re-financing of a number of film and television projects.
- advising on the development and production of various television projects for some of the UK’s leading production companies.
Hannah also has a good deal of experience training clients on issues relating to the financing and re-financing of film and television projects.
Since joining Reed Smith, Hannah has actively participated in a plethora of pro bono and responsible business projects, which include, coordinating a legal advice helpline, attending legal advice clinics, providing corporate structuring and general commercial advice to not-for-profit and charitable organisations and individuals, as well as contributing to various diversity and inclusion initiatives. Hannah has also been involved in Reed Smith’s award-winning Middle East/Greece Refugee Project and spent time volunteering in refugee camps in Greece. Hannah is also a trained community mediator.
