Sara focuses her practice on advising companies on unclaimed property issues. Sara guides clients through unclaimed property audit defense, voluntary disclosure, and unclaimed property controversy matters. She provides legal opinions addressing the ambiguity in state laws and assists her clients in preparing internal policies and procedures for dealing with unclaimed property compliance. Sara is a frequent speaker on unclaimed property issues and is co-chair of the Government Relations Advocacy Committee of the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (“UPPO”). Sara’s work before the Uniform Law Commission and Delaware Senate Unclaimed Property Task Force on behalf of UPPO earned Reed Smith the 2015 UPPO Award of Merit. Sara represents clients in a wide variety of industries. She has experience practicing before administrative tribunals in several states, as well as before state and federal courts.
