Michael is a litigator in Reed Smith’s Pittsburgh office. Drawing on his experience as a law clerk to Judge D. Michael Fisher of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Michael’s practice focuses on appeals, in addition to complex commercial and tort disputes in state and federal courts.
He has been a member of teams defending various clients: for example, a multinational food chain against claims related to an alleged workplace sexual assault; a religious nonprofit regarding breach of fiduciary duty claims; and an online and mobile food-ordering platform against alleged breach of contract claims.
Michael has additional experience in a broad range of areas, including whistleblower retaliation, insurance recovery, defamation and class actions.
During the time between his clerkship with Judge Fisher and joining Reed Smith, Michael worked as a litigation associate in the Pittsburgh office of an international law firm.
