Ranna represents regional and international companies, governmental and quasi-governmental entities, and high-net-worth individuals in litigation and arbitration arising from disputes related to commercial matters, shareholders relations, banking, commercial agencies, insolvencies and bankruptcies, regulatory matters, civil and criminal fraud, white-collar crime and cybersecurity. Ranna has advised and represented various clients in disputes heard before the GCC courts and in arbitrations conducted under the DIAC arbitration rules.
Ranna is bilingual in Arabic and English.

Ranna has a particular interest in Africa-related disputes and the development of African practitioners. She serves as the vice chair of the African Arbitration Association’s Young Members Group. Ranna is a keen advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion, and the mentorship and coaching of junior lawyers.
Before joining Reed Smith, Ranna worked as a key member of the dispute resolution team in the Dubai office of an English law firm and prior to that she worked at a leading law firm in the MENA region.
