Adam focuses his practice primarily on corporate trustees and other financial intermediaries. He is well-known for his work representing trustees on sovereign bond defaults and restructurings. He works on domestic and cross-border transactions, particularly involving the Latin American market. His agency experience covers the full range of corporate trust and agency services, and he helped to develop many of the market standards used across the corporate trust and agency industry today. He is a former managing director and managing counsel at a major international bank, where he advised the bank’s corporate trust and global operations groups.
Adam has advised on a broad range of transactions, insolvencies, and litigation matters, for both US domestic and international deals. He regularly advises on bond issuances, SEC reporting requirements for trusts, bondholder relations, credit arrangements, agency appointments, tender and exchange offers, consent solicitations, defaults and out-of-court restructurings. His work spans the lifecycle of deals, from the bidding process, through negotiation, daily deal management and on to terminations and defaults.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Adam worked at major international law firms, a globally systemically important bank, and a leading international financial media company.
