James is an Associate in the in the Global Commercial Disputes Group at Reed Smith LLP. During his training James worked in the Structured Finance team, dealing with complex financial structures, and in the Shipping Group where he primarily dealt with Charterparty disputes.
James has experience of a wide range of contentious matters conducted before tribunals as well as alternative dispute resolution and mediation. James’ recent experience includes litigation in the English High court, particularly the Commercial Court, Queen’s Bench Division and Chancery Division.
James also has experience in both international arbitration under the UNCITRAL rules as well as LCIA arbitrations. His core areas of practice are Insurance Recovery disputes, International Arbitration, Commercial Litigation and Banking and Financial Services Litigation.
