We offer a variety of careers in each of our six support departments – Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Knowledge Management, Marketing and Operations. Career opportunities also exist within our legal departments and practice groups. Positions range from entry-level support roles, to seasoned professionals and management-level employees who are responsible for the operations of entire departments.

Reed Smith currently employs more than 900 staff members throughout 17 U.S. offices. They represent a broad cross-section of educational disciplines, professional backgrounds and workplace experiences. Some staff members have just recently joined Reed Smith while others have worked here for more than 45 years.
Reed Smith seeks to hire staff employees who bring a customer-service focus and who have a strong desire to learn. We recruit people with college degrees and advanced degrees such as JDs or Masters; people with specialized training or certifications such as CPAs or certain IT disciplines; people who have many years of experience in particular facets of our business; and people who are new to the workforce and are still developing professional skills. We hire people who have just completed educational programs, as well as people who have worked in general industry, service environments or other law firms. We believe that these varied backgrounds and the wide breadth of experience build a strong team.
