International law firm Reed Smith has agreed an exclusive relationship with BPP Law School (a leading provider of professional legal education) to provide its Legal Practice Course (LPC) to all future trainees from September 2009 onwards.
Under the new scheme, each year all of Reed Smith trainees will study the LPC course at the BPP centres in London, Leeds and Manchester.
Terry Green, Reed Smith partner and trainee principal, commented:
“Reed Smith is focused on providing the best environment for the practice of law. By partnering with BPP, we are ensuring that all our future trainees are offered thorough legal training to aid their transition to the firm.
"Our partnership with BPP will not only provide trainees with a good foundation for their careers but it will also be of benefit from a collaborative point of view; enabling our future trainees to network prior to joining the firm and our fee earners to interact more closely with them at the start of their legal careers.”
Peter Crisp, Dean of BPP Law School, added:
“We are looking forward to welcoming all future Reed Smith trainees to BPP Law School. The LPC at BPP provides first-rate training which enables trainees and law firms to maintain their competitive edge and better meet the needs of clients. With our emphasis on business and finance, our focus is to produce trainees who are ready to embrace the demands and challenges of the training contract and practice.”
