The firm is ranked in three areas: Illinois M&A, and New Jersey and Pennsylvania M&A, the latter two of which are Tier 1. In addition, six individual attorneys are ranked as "Highly Regarded": Tad Bromley, Diane Frenier, and Betty Yan (New Jersey M&A); Lee Ann Dillon (New York Banking); Jennifer Cheng (New York M&A); and Kristin Wells (Pennsylvania M&A). This ranking means they are highly regarded by their peers and possess a strong transactional record, and have received positive client feedback.

IFLR1000 focuses on financial and corporate law. Since its inception in 1987, it has covered the United States at the national level, but felt it was time for a more in-depth examination of individual states. Research included interviews with hundreds of law firms across the country, along with case studies and discussions with clients of the firms.
