NEW YORK – Global law firm Reed Smith today announced the addition of Alan J. Schwartz, a seasoned tax attorney to its Global Corporate Group in New York.

Schwartz was previously a partner in the tax practice of McDermott Will & Emery LLP.

Schwartz advises clients on business formations, joint ventures, and corporate acquisitions and mergers. He also provides advice on the tax aspects of securities offerings, structured financial products and other complex financial transactions and represents sponsors and investors in connection with the formation of and investment in investment funds.
