Schwartz was previously a partner in the tax practice of McDermott Will & Emery LLP.
Schwartz advises clients on business formations, joint ventures, and corporate acquisitions and mergers. He also provides advice on the tax aspects of securities offerings, structured financial products and other complex financial transactions and represents sponsors and investors in connection with the formation of and investment in investment funds.

Schwartz also has significant experience with international tax issues including inbound and outbound business operations and investments. More recently, he has been advising on the tax issues involved in cryptocurrencies and blockchain transactions including initial coin offerings.

Schwartz received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and was also previously associated with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP.
